FARM AID
CCOG Editor Peter Olotka attended the Farm Aid Concert on Randall’s Island in New York on September 9th. Dozens of Organic and Environmental organizations had vendors and booths at the event. From the Farm Aid website http://www.farmaid.org

The growing good food movement:
Farm Aid has united farmers, artists, consumers, and concerned citizens to create awareness about the benefits of good food from family farms. Farmers markets and local farm stands are everywhere. More people are purchasing organic food. More Americans are choosing meat products from livestock humanely raised on pastures, free of antibiotics and hormones. Rural citizens, consumers, and family farmers are stopping the factory farms that pollute and destroy the rural environment. Americans are rejecting genetically engineered food.

Good To Grow!
If you have children or grandchildren check out the GoodToGrow! website http://goodtogrow.org. A program of the Association of Children’s Museums to help combat the epidemic of childhood obesity in the US.

Living Good to Grow!
At children’s museums and online, Good to Grow! supports you and your family in:
• Eating good foods (in the right amounts);
• Getting plenty of exercise;
• Tracking your screen time (computer and TV)
• Connecting with the outdoors.
